Battery on a K8

New k8 uses a Yuasa GEL no maintenance 12v 10AH battery.

GEL are hit and miss as theyre charged at factory and could sit a while on shelves history records. is it still the 12 or the 14 like for hondas ST1300?

These ones come in a pack with the bike in the crate and the Gel is loaded into the casing and briefly charged at the shop during the pre delivery.
I haven't pulled it out since it was put into the bike and I hope I won't have to pull it out for a long time either.

Yeah I must say mine hasn't played up, even tho I cooked the thing with a battery charger after draining it with my park lights.

Haha, will not expect many years from it due to the mistreatment.
