all good and valid points guys here is the kit I am currently looking at tell me what you think

All the electronics are housed in one box.
All the connections are done using oem connectors.
Also plugs into your nitrous solenoid. Through the TPS, the unit waits until you are at 100% throttle before the nitrous begins to flow.
Through the GPS it allows you to select what gear the nos comes in at.
Once armed, the NOS will flow at a predetermined gear and 100% throttle. The unit at this point also begins to manipulate the fuel injection system and adds extra fuel, never allowing the mixture to go lean.
It also has an option that allows you to use both of the above outputs(TPS and GPS) along with a horn activator. This will require you to hold down the horn button, even if both of the other parameters are met.
All of the above parameters are for BOTH systems.

The SMALLER system will produce about 210-220 horsepower, on a Hayabusa.
The Larger system will produce about 290 horsepower, on a Hayabusa
The larger system will require the purchase of an upgraded fuel pump and regulator and will also require a custom nitrous kit that we sell. If you currently have a dry nitrous kit and wish to use the larger system, we can sell you the upgraded parts that you will need.

This system is designed for the Hayabusa

This dry nitrous kit contains all you need to really have some fun with your fuel injected motorcycle.
This is the most advanced dry nitrous kit on the market. This kit contain 2 fogger nozzles for a more even distribution throughout all 4 cylinders.
It comes with a 1 lb bottle, or for an additional fee you can get a 2lb bottle.

Joes's system is fairly popular the only trouble is he has gone awol since he got married!

I think the Controller was a part he bought from another source, so you should be able to track it down from the original manufacturer. Not sure if it works with the PC though! The rest of the kit is standard sort of stuff so it should be easy to put together.

I was thinking a hi pressure reg stepping from 950+ to 30-40psi attached to a 1:1 boost referenced type fuel pressure regulator could give a fuel pressure of 70-80 psi and a hp potential of 250-260 on a dry system.
pressure safety switches & an engine manager and a better fuel pump would be needed .

The bloody Gt28 scares me enough on the street.

Not sure if I should venture out to places where the traffic doesn't all go one way....

Quote:Quick Question.....
wet system,
How hard would it be to run a pressure switch / relay on or near the fuel solenoid, that in turn connected the NOS solenoid ?
So that the NOS solenoid only became "live" if and when you had fuel pressure ?
Just though it might be a bit of insurance for the motor ?
Sure there is a reason why not ?
Would it work ?

Tony that is a fuel pressure switch, about $35. You must run it near the pump though, not the solenoid. When the solenoid opens the pressure drop will affect the switch and the n20 wont activate. (ask me how I know), you need to place it immediately after the pump.

It will only allow the n20 to activate if the fuel pressure is above your pre determined amount - say 3.5 psi. Edited by: hayabusa at: 22/9/05 11:09 pm

Thanks,
So it wasnt such a dumb idea ?

With the talk about bottle sizes,
1lb if fine for Dyno's, Drags, Bike Shows and to Pose outside the Coffee Club or local Gay bar, but in the real world if you actualy USE the stuff, my 2.5lb bottle never seemed to last long enough. A good ride out with boys and after a few hour I always seemed to be carrying an empty bottle around :-(
Guess thats just the downside to NOS.

Next Question.....
How hard is it here in OZ to get a "home-refill-station"
To you need a licence ? Permit ?
Back in the UK everyone seemed to use BOC or LindieGas.

I just lay a big BOC bottle in a warm bath, small one in the fridge. And transfer it that way.

I get the same weight bottle as if I get a refill from a filling station.

Bill,

I just found this on e-bay. Cut and paste the item number into e-bay and it will take you straight to it:

Make an informed decision on that kit though.

Nylon lines, no pump from what I can see.

So where are you at with all this Bill or is it in the too hard basket?

I like this variation of the Wet System, a bit pricey though!

It would be good to see your bike with some more sting to carry all that Bling!
