some of the issue is the rubber mounted footpeg plates , they allow enough movement that not all of the shift is transferred
hard shifting overcomes this
aftermarket rearsets helps lots and on my racebike i put steel washers in place of the rubber ones on either side of the isolation rubbers at the mount bolts
that firmed it up a lot too but makes it more buzzy

the new member to my stbles had a terrible set up on gear lever... nearly had to snap the ankle going up in gears and felt like I did an exagerated giant step to get foot over to drop down one...
I have now adjusted lever to suit my foot position... but the new boots are making me reach just a bit more now so I will adjust again.
I have always gotten false neutrals between 5th and 6th.. and I know it's because I am, by that stage, relaxed and not putting enough pressure on my changes. "lazy man" syndrome LOL
IMO.. spend time to get that lever in the right position FOR YOU.. ignore std/factory settings unless your a manequin

..are they "ignition coil cut" or do ya just crunch your gearbox ?
I notice you're a dealer Ray. Where is the video of you fitting one onto your own bike ?
