As Throwdown says hold the clutch in 10 sec & all the way in

Check chain tension that it has a bit of slack Coolsmiley
Also just before you put it into gear slowly roll the bike forward a few inches then select as your moving , Pi_thumbsup
My Gen 1 was a real pig my Gen 2 is a bit smother,
With the auto fast idle on will always make it worse, its like reving it up a few k & dropping it in gear, ouch

To try & explain from another angle, & this is covered in Simmo's post & a few earlier.
The bigger the motor or bigger the torque output of the motor the bigger the gear sets.
They are all spinning & are forced to stop dead when dropped into gear on a stationary bike, gives resulting clunk.
Thats why holding the clutch in for a while helps, gives the gears time to stop spinning.
Being cold with either choke or a fast idle just means the gears are spinning faster & have built up more inertia.
My ZRX has a massive clunk when dropped into gear stationary, the whole bike moves, but yeah I KNOW it is in gear.
The 'Busa is more refined, but then it is only a baby with less than 15,000 k's so far, I wonder if it will still be as subtle after another 100,000 k's of road & strip work.
