Hi Ian. I ran 17-43 and had trouble keeping the nose down. I still prefer stock, though you will obviously get better acceleration with lower gearing IF (unlike me) you know how to launch properly.

Leonard runs a 16 in the front and he manages 9.7 on a stock (lowered) bike...

Hmmm, just had a thought that could help you both go faster... Maybe you two should paint your bikes RED!

Thanks guys, I got two back sprockets with the bike, so will check teeth numbers (one was stock) and see what to do about the front.
Why would you take a non red 9.7 sec bike and paint it red? It would go slower based on your time wouldn't it?

16-42 great launches at the track and fun on the road as well . This gearing will get you over the line just before the limiter in 4th. Same as Leonard uses. Bruce

Shouldn't have to count the teeth... usually a number etched on the side of the sprocket.

Simmo, look in Leonard's trailer while he's out racing on the track...!

Simmo, you get one from your Suzuki dealer, they are only about $30. I think Metro's sell new ones still and they are cheaper again.

I've got 17 and a 41 and a 42. So I'll run the 42 for now. The local Suzuki guy can get me a new sprocket at a good price, so maybe I'll get a 16 later.

Simmo, I have a 16 front that I dont use anymore, do you want to give that a go with your 43 rear?
You wont have to line up for it, just drop by my place after work.
