Thanks Driller. The Kat is a 1981 build (one of the first few) genuine "SXZ" wire wheel model. I have kept her as stock (looking) as possible. She is an 1100 (1074cc) but has been taken out to 1245cc. Totally restored. I will be listing her for sale soon though - not enough time to ride one bike, let alone two.

I went for a ride on the Busa the other day and then hopped straight on the Kat for a quick squirt. I had to pull up at the end of the street as I thought there were some major problems - it felt like the seat had collapsed, as if the back wheel was about to fall off, it wouldn't turn, handle, accelerate, but it was just that the Busa is so much newer and better and easier to ride. The Kat really is a good one to ride too though (compared to other Kats and bikes of its era) - no where near as much wind blast at around 150Km/h & up compared to the Busa.

The majority of people who ride scooters ride them in a dangerous way, but since when is a scooter classed as a bike??

More like a roller blade with a whipper snipper motor and a seat Pi_tongue
