RE: pair valve block off plates - xhiler8r - 03-05-2007

if you know how to use a welder or an oxy I just cut my tubes about 10mm from the flange and squashed them then braised the ends up But then again the pair valve is of no use now with the bits cut off

I would be inclined to plumb the PAIR valve to suck, when she doesnt suck anymore, get rid of it and block off.

went to bunnings & brought 4mm strip of ally & made some, seems to have done the trick.

RE: pair valve block off plates - arthur dunga - 06-05-2007

there were 2 hoses to the pair valve 1 from the air box ,(i've blocked that off)but the smaller hose what do i do with that?

RE: pair valve block off plates - Gnarbunkle99 - 06-05-2007

Rip it out, its a vacuum line from the throttle bodies, trace it uphill and block at throttle body.

RE: pair valve block off plates - AntsBuza - 04-03-2008

Aly plate is also what I used.

RE: pair valve block off plates - jzbusa - 04-03-2008

Will be making ally plates also

RE: pair valve block off plates - BUSGO - 04-03-2008

I am a firm believer in NOT blocking off the pair at all.

I don't believe it does anything at all for performance and it is there for a purpose.
So what if you get a bit of a backfire at high fuel flow speeds.
It sounds hot if nothing else.

A 6mm tap and 4 short bolts is quicker than making 1 ally plate!

What does the manual say about the pair valve, Busgo?
