Gi pro problem - fastone4700 - 20-09-2008

Just hooked up my gi pro on 01 busa.
All i geet is l flashing then 1 stays flashing
has anybody else had this before. The original owner said it was unlocked when i bought it to do over 300 but i can't see where he unlocked it. Are there different types or only 1.
if i go to gear 6 then down it reads it as 1.

Possibly the gear position sensor faulty. Thats how I found out mine was buggered when I fitted a Gipro TRE

RE: Gi pro problem - fastone4700 - 20-09-2008

Do you know what they are worth as i just spoke to previous owner and he said suzuki dealer modded the gear position sensor.

RE: Gi pro problem - Pommie - 20-09-2008

If your lucky someone on here might have one, a wrecker is about 30 or 40 bucks, mine from the dealer was 116 I think. theres is a mod you can do to them that involves silicon I think but cant remeber, it'll be on here somewhere cos someone here will of done it. You can test the GPs if you have a volt meter. Not a hard job. On the downloads section there is a manual you can download, think it has the readings in there and how to do it

had the same prob then discovered my gps was modded. replaced it from wreckers for $20. beware when replacing to remove clutch basket discs in one hit ie leave them on its hub.

RE: Gi pro problem - Pommie - 21-09-2008

yeah they a bit of a worry. I marked the outer edge of mine so they all went back in the same place

RE: Gi pro problem - fastone4700 - 04-10-2008

just pulled clutch apart and changed gps to standard now gi pro works fine needed 20cfm compressor and a decent compressor to undo main nut.
all works fine now while i had it apart did oil change and meshed in the fairings.
i used a ryco z444 oil filter which fits fine and cost $10 it is made for suzuki bikes by ryco.
My next mod will be undertail mod if anybody has done i am interested to know what it looks like.
