Hi all,
For what its worth, i have HEL Carbon Look Lines on my GENII, aswell as this i have fitted a 18/19 Brembo Radial Master Cyl.

Busa pulls up easier, and with much less effort.

Just my 2c worth. :)

Sure enough the craftsmanship is superb as people have been saying, but I think my third line across the front calipers is about 8 inches too long. It's certainly that much bigger than the original and looks like the front two lines are the same length - is this what people have been getting? Or have they sent me 2 of the same lines by mistake? I'm having to bodge it.

It sounds like you got a kit that runs both lines direct from the master cylinder. Did you get a long bolt in the kit? Check the part number on your kit against their web page to find out.

Put them on properly now, and having a nightmare of a time bleeding the bloody things (so to speak). Took me about 5 minutes to bleed them when I had them on the first time. I'm going to take them off and start again. Frown

Persevere with it mate it will come good all at once.

I just put new brasided lines on both new Aprillias and they were a bugger to bleed. I cable tied the brake lever over night and got more bubbles out the next morning. Brakes are perfect now with a lovely firm lever.

Just in case this could help someone else. I've done them now - the problem was the master cylinder. It was clogged with this thick creamy goo (like when water gets into your oil) - might be from not changing the fluid often enough. Although a clean up and strip sorted it, I'll probably get a kit to replace whatever bits can be replaced.

10 year old bike with lots of terrible rain riding and 160,000kms, so I've been systematically overhauling everything. Everyone on a 99/00 should consider stripping it down - it's great fun and hasn't been hard at all.
