Fitted braided lines
#1
A quick heads up as a few people have mentioned fitting braided lines , the thread for the rear brake lines are a finer thread then for front so be careful not to get them mixed up as it could end in tears .
I fitted a set of Hel lines to the Bus on sat ( 3 line kit. 2 front 1 rear) and can't believe the differance it's made , i would say it a mod that should be at top of everyones list .

Hey Loafie, Good post. I've been talking (and talking and procrastinating) about doing this for a while. Are Superbike supplies online?
I probably need it more than most. Everyone knows the blue ones are faster!!Pi_tongue

Can't remember what I paid as got them middle of last year I think around $ 190 mark, fitting is easy but getting the air out of lines takes a bit of patience I believe the 3 line kit is way to go .

Just checked prices $219.00 from Hel and $189.95 from superbike supply .
Also should you order a Hel kit there's 2 kits
S kit replaces the original line layout
F kit Means two lines at master cylinder and equal length to each caliper( this is the kit a went with)

I know most of the board members like to shop locally and support local businesses, but why pay through the nose when you can buy SS braided lines from the states for less with no risk, and have them delivered quicker than Aus post can ship them from the east coast to the west coast
Recently bought a set of Galfer superbike braided lines (both brake and clutch lines) delivered for around A$ 150.00. We just pay way too much here in Aus. When local suppliers can match the price and provide great customer service, I will change my buying habits and support local shops.

Thats a good point.

I will always go US when theres a decent saving involved. But for $50 i didnt mind. Altho it sucks trying to support local business when it looks like they shaft you wherever possible.

Not bike related, but I know for example in the gym industry. i bought 4 tubs of stuff for $110 delivered and the local supplement shop was selling the same item for $90 a tub.
