RE: Chain wax? Need some advice - Batfink - 25-09-2015 nice simple vid Lucky I only use kero for cleaning and it was interesting to hear that a penetrating lube like WD40 will end up drying out your inner rollers by dislodging the inner grease. That's why I have always been suspect about using a penetrating lube. I did my last chain by breaking 3x cheap tooth brushes LOL I need to get that gunge brush. It was funny though as I sat on the ground scrubbing and drinking beer I was thinking about making a block a bit like the chain ninja for lubing but as all my ideas it's already been done LOL However I was thinking of my block being about 4 inches long, running on air and incorperating both cleaning with rotating scrubbers, blow drying and lubing. Guess I might keep that idea to myself so sshhhhhhhhhhh RE: Chain wax? Need some advice - Shordy - 25-09-2015 I ordered one of these brushes a couple of weeks ago. I haven't received it yet so I'm not sure what it's like, but hey, $3.62 delivered. I'll give it a crack. http://www.ebay.com.au/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p4712.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.H0.TRS0&_nkw=Cycling+Motorcycle+Chain+Cleaning+Tool+Gear+Grunge+Brush+Cleaner+Blue+Plastic+&_sacat=0 RE: Chain wax? Need some advice - Corpsedealer - 25-09-2015 Not a bad little vid. I will be making a chain Ninja as soon as I get home, I will use it with the can of pro honda moly spray I have ordered. RE: Chain wax? Need some advice - captainrob - 26-09-2015 RE: Chain wax? Need some advice - Shordy - 26-09-2015 I bought a couple of these a while back. The gap is too narrow for our chains, but one side clicks off and the right angle is still useful. Probably worth the price! I wondered about the size, not knowing about them clicking apart, I had already considered doing a hacksaw job on it...... Worse scenario is I'll use the other end to get the bugs out of the air intake meshes....lol RE: Chain wax? Need some advice - Kendo - 26-09-2015 I use these brushes. You can get replacement brush heads for them as well. http://www.drcproducts.com/tool/d59-22-001/index.html Like how the Grease Ninja works, that is how I have always lubed my chains with the little straw attachment, always along the chain plates.
