RE: New toy.... - Tony Nitrous - 28-09-2012 Unicorn in Japan have built lots of GSX14's with Kat bodywork. A guy In the UK has built a couple too. I'm on my mobile not home computer That has all my info. Google "Unicorn GSX1400 Katana" RE: New toy.... - Ward P - 29-09-2012 (28-09-2012, 09:59pm)Tony Nitrous Wrote: Unicorn in Japan have built lots of Bloody Hell Tony, why'd you have to go show me that . . . now that's another bike I'm gonna NEED to get !!! ya bastard! ![]() RE: New toy.... - Zrex1200 - 02-10-2012 Being a fan of the Retro Bike look I like the GSX1400, just wasn't my cup of tea engine wise compared to the ZRX (off the shop floor comparisons). However I have always said Suzuki should Retro a Katana & Kawasaki should Retro a GPZ900 (or 1100 or). I definetly like the looks of the Unicorn built Katana's based on the GSX1400. Is it me or do a lot of them appear to be running carby's as oppossed to FI ? RE: New toy.... - Tony Nitrous - 02-10-2012 Bri Harper called around and did me a safety Cert this morning. Off to Qld Transport to register it, collect new plate, woman behind the counter was being an arse because Bri and I both listed the mileage as 000001.0 k's (new clocks) Eventualy got a new plate. Phoned Shannon's and added it to my policey (including Yoshi / Powercommander / KOSO etc) Out to play. ![]() RE: New toy.... - Zrex1200 - 03-10-2012 OK, I guess you had to change the mirrors for rego reasons... ![]() Good photo though, looks like a nice spot ![]() Bike looks like an absolute steal for under 3K ![]() RE: New toy.... - Tony Nitrous - 03-10-2012 Mirrors were nicked off my Bandit for the safety cert and test ride. Will probably get changed. Clocks really dont suit the looks, but I might fit a ZRX / Z1100R type fairing, Not a fan of tupperware but it looks very odd and untidy now. Pic was taken along Bunya Rd. Its a twisty route close to my house that takes me to Samford and the mountain. I take a few snaps there, makes a change from the street outside my house. Deja Vu ? ![]() RE: New toy.... - Zrex1200 - 04-10-2012 Ok, I know the area vaguely, used to live in Alderley in the late 70's. I have been running bar end mirrors for the last 5 or 6 years & really like the low clean appearence & also appreciate being able to see behind without having to to the twist & drop an elbow to see if the police car I just passed has his brake lights on ![]() Also I think bar end mirrors just really suit the retro style bikes. It is what I remember mates older brothers running on their Z900 & CB750's in the day & my Uncles Triumph Trident. RE: New toy.... - Tony Nitrous - 17-10-2012 Im getting into this lazy riding.... ![]() ![]() RE: New toy.... - Tony Nitrous - 15-01-2013 I hate luggage on bikes, F#ckin' awful ........ ![]() ![]() Not sure if this will turn out to be useful or just give me the sh#t's. In my defence, it comes on and off in seconds, box and mounting plate, and just leaves a small rack, ........... and it was free, given to me by the last owner. Still bloody ugly though. I did a "add up" of everything i've spent so far, original bike, bits, accesseries and fix's. Owe's me $2625 ( not counting rego / safety Cert or insurance ) ![]() RE: New toy.... - revhead - 15-01-2013 i didnt think you were in the gidgeeee set there Tony, lol you could fill it with bricks or concrete for wheelies lol RE: New toy.... - Tony Nitrous - 15-01-2013 1400 is for taking the Mrs out on, Got a feeling she'll fill it up. Happy wife, happy life!
