Simmo and I fitted the XTRE to mine on Saturday, I got it from Pashnit on an extreme busa group buy for $100.00 USD delivered to Australia.
I have done about 100klm so far mostly commuting in the city and so far dont really notice the difference. She still runs and idles smoothly it might have a bit more punch down low but that could just be me trying to convince myself that my money was well spent.

The wideband shows that it has made no difference at all to the fueling.

Still reserving my judgement as to if its worthwhile for anything more than telling your mates that she is no longer top speed limitedPi_tongue

Hi There down under.
I have had my X-TRE fittede a few month agoe and so has some of mine frinds from the danish Busa club also.
I find it to be more potent in the 2 and 3 compared to before, taking rews quicker and pulling slightly harder.
In the begining I also was a bit in doubt if it made any changes or not and it was only when you really use the machine it became obvious.
I experienced several times after instaling it that the front lifts at high rews in 3' around 200km/h if it is being run hard and this wasent the case before. I was a bit suprised the first time as it was when doing an overtaking it made a wheelie..

A friend of mine had his 08 testet on a dyno before and after instaling and it showed that the tourgh was increased delivering the hp ealier = more crispy engine response.
I can only recommend it and find the bikes a bit more fun now...

RE: K8 TRE - hayabusabike - 30-11-2008

As far as I know it dosen't but I always have mine i A so I haven't tried. And now the sesson is over here in Denmark so I can't even test it for you...before Marts 1 where the insurrence kick in again.
But quite sure neither gear indicator or mode are influenced.
Even if it is the Xtre is easy to unplug if needed...

It does not have any effect on the mode selector B and C will still work

RE: K8 TRE - BLACKZOOK - 14-01-2009

KIN YOW

RE: K8 TRE - busakid08 - 25-01-2009

I bought one but because I run a Motty AFR in my K8 I ended up custom mapping the whole range so cant see the point installing it as the Motty does such a good job of fueling anyway plus it derestricts as well so the XTre is still in its packaing. Most other Busa owners I have spoken to in the US dont see a real diiference, personally with the new generation bikes I am a little sceptical about the effectivness about them anymore - I have run IVans TRE's for years and prior the Motty ran one as well on K8 but now I rekons is redundant for my bike - plus cant be arsed installing it as it would require me to by-pass the GPS so the Motty gets its signal etc, too much work for little gain - better to spend $$ elsewhere I rekon. Whack a few tooth on the rear if you want more wheelies - personally I can wheelie my bike easy as shit and has always "come up in the front" lol

RE: K8 TRE - REVIT13 - 20-03-2009

how many k8 busa's that drag race have obtained any data with a tre fitted.

ie have your half tracks improved.

from reading the thread the fueling is not affected. i am keen to know the gains before wot.
