Any one fitted a TRE on a 08 yet
If so how is it going & do you know if its richening up the air fuel ratio on the lower gears?

Not only does it remove the speed limiter but it also removes the timing retardation in the first couple of gears(Thus the name Timing Retard Eliminator or TRE) from what I understand, giving you all power from the get go.

Well this is the one I have ordered there is only one way to find out
Ivan's Performance Products SMART Timing Retarder Eliminator and Speed Limiter Overide! The TRE is a device which allows much better throttle response in the first 4 gears. The "Smart TRE" has a built-in computer chip, is slightly larger than the orignial TRE, and requires no adjustments to idle speed or fuel mixture to maintain smooth idle quality!
2008 Hayabusa
What the manufacturer has done is to make a SEPARATE IGNITION MAP FOR EACH GEAR. This has been done for either safety and/or emissions reasons. However, it limits the power and smoothness of your bike in the first 1/2 turn of the throttle in gears 1 through 4.
The smart TRE will disable the speed limiter on the bike. This is due to the fact that the ECM does not see the 6th gear ignition map, which has an earlier rev-limiter.
The TRE is a direct "plug in" installation to your bike - no cutting or splicing The TRE has no effect at full throttle The TRE does have an effect at throttle openings up to 1/2 in gears 1 through 4 at ANY rpm. The TRE does NOT affect full throttle power. This has been verified on the dyno as well as on the road under controlled conditions. The TRE has also been tested by Sport Rider Magazine, with rave reviews. The TRE is for "race use only". The TRE does not comply with your warranty. The TRE does not comply with federal emission and/or safety laws.
They were clever in the design of this timing retarder. It still allows full timing at full throttle. As you shift up through the gears, the amount of throttle needed to access the advance curve decreases, until you make it into 5th gear and then it's gone. You have nice, smooth operation. Wouldn't you like your bike to respond just as smoothly in the lower gears? Installs in Minutes!
Comes with easy to follow instructions!!! With the TRE installed, the factory gear indicator will show 5th gear when the bike is in gear!

Ivans are the best I rekon been using his for years never an issue - yep shows 5th in all gears cept nuetral - if you have never had a gear indicator like me it wont bother you. Does smooth out the bike a little but I dont think you get any more pwer from it. I will be taking mine off soon though as my Motty has TSd overide anyway
Egos; everyone got one

I tried out the Ivans TRE last night at the drags last night, at the drags I can't say it may any difference, from what I sort off understand on the K8 once at 100 % throttle the ecu may advance the timing anyway,
But what I did find was that when tuning the hub that runs off a PC3 all the gear trims were adjusted in neutral not 5th gear?, and when I adjusted neutral map the setting followed throw for all the gears the same.
