Busa vs Jibrock
#1
Hi all, been ridind for a few years now and thought i,d seen it all but yesterday I got caught out by something new. Travelling down the Ipswich Freeway a semi in front, a semi in the lane next to me and a semi behind me, in other words boxed in and these 100 ton monsters were all doing between 110 - 120 km/hr( speeding their guts out ) the next thing I know a full sheet of Jibrock comes sailing through the air, flicked up by the semi in front, and before I could even duck I hit it square on dead centre. It exploded on impact, I had nowhere to go so just carried on. Two things, one is that the nose of the Busa is hard cause I hit it hard, it didnt crack, 95% of the damage will polish out but with every new scratch and chip it is starting to look not so new. The secound is I dont really care about the damage cause if the damn thing had hit me edge on it would have taken me off the bike and under the semi behind me I,m just glad to be able to tell you this story. Take care out there and watch those f---king trucks.

once saw a half sheet of cyprock come of a truck and smash across the front of an R1 travelling on the M1 south of Brisbane. Much the same as you describe but that fella had a plate number to give his insurance company. white shit and dust just exploded in all directions

Do you NSW/Vic riders have to put up with this sort of shit?

I recently saw a huge reinforced concrete pipe fall off a small truck and take out the car behind it. Truck kept going.

I heard that NSW enforces correctly tying down loads a lot closer than here...

Yeh that describes it Tom an explosion of white shit and dust and chunks, I have a camera on board too but it wasn,t switched on at the time, which is a shame cause i,m sure the footage would have been a YouTube winner.
