Ray the HID kit for the busa makes an enormous difference, the light output must be at least double if not tripple stock and it uses less amps to achieve this.
IMHO its a must have for anyone who regularly rides outside suburbia at night. I got my high/low kit from Glen at TC. Max what do you think of your HID's mate?

White/blue light makes it like daylight in front of the Busa. There is a short delay when going to high beam for the first time, but it's not that noticeable. I tried the xenons, were brighter, but, not enough and they broke - at $35 each - notmy choice. The HIDs cost a fair bit - I got mine through Glenn66 (Fantastic to work with) - and take some installation but are well worth it when you're on the open road after dark. Max ![]() ![]() ![]()

Iv'e had mine for at least 5 years and still going strong on the first globe. Double the light intensity, half the power consumption. Constant light output(doesn't vary with rpm). I wouldn't worry about converting high beam unless you plan on riding around in the middle of nowhere. Bulbs need to stay on for 10 min or expect a reduced life span, also when they arc up they give a brief bright light then dull, they need a little while to warm up, not too useful when using the high beam pass switch. Earlier model Busa may need a headlight switch as they can extinguish when the battery voltage drops during cranking, especially in winter. I fitted a stalthy handlebar mounted switch on my setup.
