has the new k8 killed us
#1
ok guys! with the new k8 out, going through oz like a hot curry dinner. will this affect the value of our bikes in a way that buyers or dealers will want to give us peanuts for anything under the k8 model e.g old look, smaller engine, bla bla bla.
And last of all will most of the parts from the k8 fit our bikes so we can up grade just a little because all i want for my bike is the new dash. that is farking sexy shit DroolDroolDrool

Good question feller, Tomorrow I'm test riding an '08 just to see what they'll give me for the "old" '06, probably f***-all. I'm test riding a Night-Rod too, just to see how my girl likes he vibrations of 1930s technology.Smitten

Personally i couldnt give a shit about the fuel guage i just ride it till the 5 litres left light comes on then refill. if you know how far your bike goes on a tank of juice all you need is a trip or odometer o0r some commonsense as to distance

I think that the problem with the fuel guage was actually posted in the GEN II thread by a GEN I owner and therefore may not be a GENII issue as no one else has experienced the problem that I am aware of.

There are thousands of GEN I busas in OZ so I don't think there is a great danger of losing too much value too soon unless everyone upgrades at once.

well i think time will only tell but i see with in two yrs after alot more new busas on the road the value of our bikes dropping terribly if i'm wrong, great for us.
But you see it with cars when a new model car comes out with a new shape and new engine how it affects the rest of the chain SFun_kickingroin Coffee

we dont ride bikes for an investment. I understand all about resale values and how it can hurt when its time to sell(lets jsut say i change my mind alot) but personally i dont raelly care ive enjoyed every bike ive owed and regret nothing even tho ive lost alot of money. at the end of the day does it matter if your bike is only worth 8grand when u paid 12grand for it but you love riding it?

Hmmm.... if they're becoming cheaper, theres only one question.

Can I afford a 2nd one? Got space in the shed. Got the first one for a great price. Hmmmm.... project bike. Hmmmm.... the possibilities are.... endless.

Yeah... the K8 will reduce the price of the old series... which will make the older ones more affordable for more people and we'll have more members. I'm not selling mine anyway, so it isn't an issue for me. Besides, its one of those rare black/purple ones.

What was the question again? Coolsmiley

Hey... Andycool... dump the scooter mate... you'll be able to afford another Bus soon!
