To mix things up a bit, we are proposing to delay the next "Jindabyne" gathering, and slot another gathering in between, possibly at the end of this year, or very early next year.
There are two possibilities:
a) Try another location for as many as possible. This probably should be somewhere in NSW, obviously with all the considerations of trying to keep travel time from Qld and Vic fair. If someone really thinks they can find an appropriate location!
b) Split in to 2 - a southern Qld/northern NSW location for those states, while Vics look at something else (like a Tassie trip, or somewhere in regional Vic).
Option b could be a good opportunity to organise something that caters for the northern members. Of course, the events would be open for members from anywhere (if Vics wanna go up, or if people want to come down for Tassie). Somebody(s) from the north needs to put up their hand to organise their part.

Yes Richard i think the option 2 sounds good the first thing we need to make sure is they dont clash with dates so that if you want to go to both you can
a Tassie trip would have to be no later than early December to take Advantage of cheaper fares.

yeah option 2 sounds good. But we are coming in to Winter as well so I am guessing we are talking when it warms back up.
I'd love to do an Omeo ride ;)

Yeah, who made all these decisions on behalf of the club?
I am happy for Richard to organise another Jindy in late 08 if that is what he wants to do and I am sure that it will be well supported.
March has always been the best month to do Tassie if you need to consider the weather, which you do of course.
The Nymboida run is the last weekend in March every year, or for the last two years at least and will be again next year.
Don't forget that we also have Phillip Island for the GP and Supers for many of us interstaters.
I'd be happy to help organise a bigger event up north apart from Nymboida. From the look of the poll results, either Mudgee/Bathurst OR Port Macquarie/Coffs Harbour/Grafton may be the favoured locations.
"If time catches up with you. You're going too slow!"
Regards BUSGO
It was mooted to move Jindabyne back to Nov / Dec, and then there was still all this talk of Jindy not being very convenient for the Qlders, and a few people wanted to try Tassie, and yadda yadda yadda, so this was a suggestion so that Jindy is not abandoned, but we can try something else.
I will happily help with email lists, etc, to the organisers, but I will probably take a bit of a back seat in the organising of these (this) one...

+1 with Busgo
I'm happy to help out with Busgo to sort something out. I can run around, get quotes, make calls, check out venues, etc with him...

Well it looks like two seperate ones for this time round Busgo & pan go for it and like it was said i think you will still have some vics and act members wanting to come up if you decide on Mudgee i made some phone calls there last week and sent of some emails and i have received a visitors guide i can send to someone if you decide on there looks like it will be a tassie trip for vics or any other susgestion taken but i do think the first plan is to sort out dates so they are not to close together so people can do both if wanted.

well how long do we want it? & cost? Alpine way up to Omeo is a full weekend ride - could make it longer with some really good roads up that way :) plus I promised myself I would do it this year & I missed out coz of the bike issues.
I'd vote number one for that ride & I'd be willing to do a lot of leg work to sort out where to stay & the routes
