Gâ€day Guys,
If you remember back to the Pazzos a little while ago. I couldnâ€t compete with the Ebay on price. So, instead of bitching, I am going to mop the floor with those cheesy ‘dealersâ€. So, letâ€s go.
I am happy to make the first group deal on the forum. Something totally sweet too.
Carrozzeria USA Wheels.
I have done my homework on this one. Here are a few of the techo details that you will want to know. For the Busa, the VSTAR Forged Wheels is the go.
The VSTAR is, quote (from Carrozzeria) ‘our highest achievement after 25 years of Top Level Motorcycle Roadracing Engineering experienceâ€.
- Beautiful Updated Star Spoke Design
- Made From Wrought 6151-T6 Aluminum/CNC Machined.
- Increased Solid Construction over the previous designs.
- Availiable in three sizes
- Designed for street and race track use.
- Anodized Colors: Black, Blue, Red, Gold, and Clear Aluminum.
- Powder Coated Colors: Repsol Orange, Kawasaki Green, White, etc.
- Super Light Weight 7.8 lbs (front), 13.4 lbs (rear) (Which is 3.55 and 6.09kg respectively)
- Approved DOT (USA), TUV (Europe) & JWL (Japan)
- 5 Year Warranty.
Here is what I am going to do. Each of the kits contains the Cush Drive, the carriers, the spacers and the flash bearings. All of their wheels run the Kawasaki pattern so I will throw in a Driven brand sprocket to suit you. The other thing is I will do the same deal on any model bike. So, if you have a Ducati (for example), you too can take the offer.
Before I get to the bottom line, here is the fleabay prices. In the US, there is a set on there for a Honda. They are $X (those prices had to be removed because of MAP pricing requirements) before shipping and they wonâ€t ship to Australia anyway.
Busa Sizes .3.50/6.0 wide, 3.50/6.5 wide and 3.50x17 & 8.50x18. Other sizes obviously apply for other makes.
Here is the bottom line.
3.50/6.0 wide - $(those prices had to be removed because of MAP pricing requirements) a set. RRP: $2650 (in the US, no less).
3.50/6.5 wide - $(those prices had to be removed because of MAP pricing requirements) a set. RRP: $2696.
3.50x17 & 8.50x18 - $(those prices had to be removed because of MAP pricing requirements) a set. RRP: $2957.
I would be more than happy to fill you in about the forged process and so forth.
There you go. That is a bargain. Donâ€t expect those prices to continue. I can absorb it only once. What do I get out of it? I get to prove that Australia does indeed want the best gear to the big overseas boys. Even if I have to cut my throat a bit to get the primary distributor rights. The rub is that I wonâ€t go for less than five sets. Thatâ€s not many between the whole community. If I get more than that, good.
Iâ€m sure there will be some naysayers. But frankly, I donâ€t give a shit, put your money where your mouth is. I do, everyday and I will continue to fight for us to not to get the hose everytime we want something good. My mates know how far I go and how hard I work to do this stuff. If you ever wanted to do your wheels, there wonâ€t be a better time for it.
What say you?
Regards,
              Glen.
