I wear them sometimes on longer rides. Makes the 'Bus sound like a 600 though.
If you want some Slong, come round (in Roxburgh Park). I'll get some from work. Non corded (that'll piss you off after a while). I've got them in a little plastic jar (also from work) that holds around 50 or so. Fit's into back boot.
Anyone else while I'm here?
(limiting to 5 ppl)
I've got a container full at home.

Only wear them on long tours to reduce fatigue.

WHAT! SPEAK UP SONNY!!!
I wear them alot these days. I ride about 30,000 klms a year.
I know my head is buzzing after some quick rides. (Not to mention the old twinge in the loins) You have to be carefull how much to insert (The plugs, pay attention!)
They can be real uncomfortable if they are too far in the ear. Just insert them mainly in the outer ear canal. I love my music, and I don't want to go deaf. (Deafer)
I get mine from a guy that works around aircraft. No cost!
Love to HEAR your thoughts, on this topic rev01.
Cheers, Phil.
I don't use ear plugs GDY I use an ear plug Eh,what was that ?
I was going to get a quieter helmet once but what's the point
At least I can ignore the trouble & strife & get away with it, can you ?
oops! I meant 35 quid for 100. you can get much, much cheaper, but make sure the plugs suit you. Using your sister's every now and then isn't the way to do it.
I had a hearing test a few years ago. After the results came in the Doc asked me whether I had worked in a factory environment for some years as the test showed a loss of hearing of about 30%. I replied that I had never worked in a noisy environment and couldnt account for the loss of hearing, unless my disco days count. Only later it dawned on me with all my years of riding with a helmet and the wind noise, must have contributed to the loss. I never wore plugs bar once or twice on long distance interstate rides.
But frankly I still dont bother with plugs, love to hear the engine and pipes, even when screaming, but thats the last thing you think about at warp speeds. Tho have to admit those warp speed days are fewer and fewer with all these tax collectors. Ironically its at warp speeds one is less likely to be caught, but am not looking forward to even the first time.
Good come back rev01! And no I can't get away with pretending I didn't hear the Misses! I get in enough trouble as it is. Haven't figured out how I'm going to get out for that ride Sunday morning and still be home to take Mum and the family out for Mothers day lunch. I'll be there though. (Can the Busa carry suitcases? )
Quite right you are Volvi, all that riding over the years does affect the hearing!
Cheers, Phil.
The butt plug I use is the X...... Whoops, wrong board. Sorry. Regards,

I'm sure pillionboy can point you in the correct direction...
I work with paper/plastic manufacturing machinery and ear plugs are compulsory (thus free to me!!)
If you wanna try a few slong, I can post you a couple of pairs and see how you like them. There's no way i'll be paying for them (been getting them for free for too long!)
