Sandgroper pigs
#1
Funny thing happened today heading north on the Mitchell Fwy (to get a suspension check, more of that later).
Slowly meandering through the traffic and noticed some pigs in an unmarked beside me.
Needless to say for the next 5km they followed right on my tail. If I swapped they swapped. Bloody ridiculous.
So I pulled into the inside lane and slowed down to 80.
Sure enough, right in behind, then out with the cherry and pulled me over.
Threatened to book me for 78 on a freeway ($80)!! Now that must be a first for a Busa. Then it was another $50 because my rego isn't externally displayed (I had it in the boot).
Then they suggested I indicated to three other vehicles that the pigs were in the car. Not true, but I did wave to one guy. That was another $150.
So I suggested that they were harrassing me, by deliberately following me and by not booking me for excessive speed, clearly I wasn't, so why follow so long on my tail?
The response nearly cracked me up. Said they are trialling a new computer for rego checks and it takes a long time right now. (choke!)
So I asked how they knew I was doing 78. Answer was that their speedos are calibrated every month, so they are spot on!!!
So I suggested that if they chose to book me with all tghese, I'd like to record all these answers on my phone so that I could respond in court.........oh well, be careful and don't muck us around again. Drove off.
99% of the cops give the other 1% a bad name eh?

Yeah, typical. Problem is the longer you keep going the more shit they dream up. I'd rather just pull over & tinker with my bike or get the phone out & call HQ

Man I don't know how you guys do it. I can garanty that if I tried that I would also get a ticket for a busted headlight, smashed tail light, smashed off indicators and assaulting an officers fist with my face Shane

you big Drag Hoon ............. Every ten seconds, somewhere on this earth, there is a woman giving birth to a child. She must be found and stopped

I've been harrased before aswell & it's not espesially fun when they start making stuff up. Being a smart ass doesn't help the situation but at least they know where they stand with me from now on. I do agree that its not all of them but the majority don't deserve any respect whatsoever. Being harrased for an estimated speed (140 in a 60 zone) that is a down right lie makes me pretty mad when I was going about 10 kms under the speed limit (for once).

I say give them hell 24/7/356 !!!

I'd have to say I'm a law abiding citizen, except I have broken the speed limit. And if caught, I cop it sweet. I try and pick places and times where I'm not likely to get caught.
My nephew is a policeman in Qld, and on the whole, my dealings with them over the years have been good. I've had a few occasions to get involved with them as a witness. Those times, I can't complain about. But for some reason when they get behind a wheel on the road, their behaviour sems to change.
There was no way I was going to be booked for 78 on a freeway! The shame!
Mind you, I just found out how lucky I was. The rego sticker was month 10. That's OK, but it occured to me I hadn't seen the renewal. Sure enough it was at home, and I had gone past the renewal date.
Even luckier, the system accepted the late payment!
Where's that lotto seller?
