Can the real busa beater please stand up, please stand up...

Just had a ride on a TLR 1000. WOW! The sound is just fully sex and with the yellow/black/silver styling, it completely matched my new Underdog leathers (you need lairy in ACT coz the caged lemmings can't bloody see anything else!). The front end is so light picking up the front wheel is jsut so easy and it comes down nice and softly and it's just easy as. Other than that, it's a piece of shite! I'm going to try a gixxer thou next, but I doubt there is another bike out there that will pull your arms out of their sockets like the BUSA. It really is the best bike on this planet bar none! Had Haemoglobin riding wingman and tried a few roll ons. Watching the busa was like sitting in an Empire Frigate (Star Wars) and watching the Millenium Falcon launch into hyperspace. All I could think of, even during the thumping V-twin resonance in my chest was, "Damn that bike looks sleek!". If you're ever in doubt of what you're riding, test something else, then get back on the busa. You'll leave with your credit card in tact and a bigger grin than ever.

PS I know they hang shit on you Rod, but friggine heck mate, what were you thinking? -385-

Horses for courses TLR is a great machine easily momo's but runs out of steam at top end compared to the Busa if that’s what's not a problem not that any of us would do that kind of thing, 200k to the tank like some Hondas, but it is my 2nd choice to the busa.
Cheers Robert
Aren't all 'busas Copper, the others are just copy 'busas!!!!!

Aye aye Simmo, my last sports bike was a TLR and I loved it. I was looking at another TLR when I test rode the Bus. In an ideal worls I would have a TLR, a VN1500 and the bus, just to cover all types of riding.

Nutsack,i cant believe you made a comment like that.thats a bit narrow minded.Every bike is built for a purpose and if its purpose is what you want from that particular bike, then thats your bike.As you know,i have a transalp as well as the viffer and as a city bike the transalp is just the best fun to ride.Ok it doesnt have 170 hp,but so what, its still a hoot to tool around the city on and isnt thats what its all about......fun?
Im a bit over buying a bike to impress others,so now i buy a bike for what i need, not what other people say i should be riding.
Just to add to this,i was reading the rapid bike mag the other day and they did a test on the new suzuki DRZ 400 moto, and the tester said that this bike was just so much fun to ride, and this was from a guy who pretty much rides all the latest crutch rockets and turboed this and that.Everyone pretty much says that the bike they own is the best and thats understandable because that particular bike has all the qualities that they need from a bike, thats why they bought it in the first place.
As for the busa being the best bike in the world, well there are plenty of good bike out there on the market now and if i had the dollars,i would own 10 bikes.
Phuck its the Phantom.......
There's the V-4 thing - there's just something about it that inline 4s
don't have, and V-twins have too much of.

Nutsack,
Talking Roll-ons, last time I was in Canberra, for the bike awareness rally, I went for a blast with a mate who has a RSV1000. We traded saddles twice and tried roll-ons and launch-to-see-which-one-goes-bang-first tests and the results were consistent. Both bikes wer equal until the Busa hit third gear. Then it was all over. everytime.
But he loves his Mille, and doesn't fit on the Bus.
Horses for courses. Anyway, haven't seen any servos fired at Honda-Rocket for a while. Makes for interesting reading.
Sorry Rocket. But I know you have broad shoulders. Cheers,
Holge

Don't worry Astro, my wife is out on her CBR as I type, and the Bus is my first non-Honda in many years... Cheers,

Rocket I agree with you entirely, all bikes have redeeming features that endear them to their owners. Not every bike suits every rider thats why we have so many to choose from.

I agree with Rocket Rod on his observations about a bike for a purpose.

BUT - I reckon I have the best groupies and I ride a Suzuki. The only Honda I have is the Mower in the shed..
