Just modified the side stand on my busa - with grinder and dremel - I agree that if it's the one and only mod you do to the busa - can see how it saves on an insurance claim.

How much do you need to take off?

My old Kawasaki rolled off the side stand and cost me $500 in parts to fix it.

From memory only about 1mm. But just go slow and try it as you go.
That also lets you use it at 50mm lower for drag racing but marginal, as at the time, I only had the back lowered. With the front down as well, probably not really adequate.
Hard to put it back on so go slow and try it as you go.

BUSDRIVER,

I took around 4mm off my busa stand first day I bought it. No shit, it's as solid as an ox now. Can park anywhere, and just about any angle.
