Please everyone try and slow down a little. No one wants to
read about people that we may know getting killed on the
roads.
from the story it looks like he has over cooked it going in to
a bend and lost it, the other 2 have bin run in to by the cars
you don't know which way to go when they hit you from
behind hard to get out of that situation Regards Richard

The weekend road carnage down here featured one main ingredient in all the media reports on TV.
The vast majority of vehicles involved were.....fourby's
They get behind the wheel of those 2 tonne monsters & think they are invincible
It is very very sad when someone does get killed like this, But I am so sick to death of narrow minded males saying things like "this women has a 4 x 4". I bet those same males would not have posted "this man has a 4 x 4".
Yes I do agree that a lot of females shouldn't be driving anything but a Barina but on the other had there is a f*&^ing lot of Males that I don't think should get behind the wheel of any type of vechile.
If you think I am offended by this then you would be right. Yes I do drive a 4 x 4 (F250), I use this to tow my horses around and I usually have more problems with male drivers than females. Male driver tend to think that they own the road and are the only ones that have the right to use it.
Ok I have said my piece.
Cheers Dee
It was a sad weekend for sure. Can't understand how people claim they "didn't see the bike". Although there's been a few explanations. One is that your brain responds to threats more than anything, and when you're driving your car, your brain is registering threats. ie cars, trucks buses etc. Those things that can cause you harm. Push bikes? nah, not a threat. Motorcycles? nope, not likely to cause you harm, so the brain doesn't raise the bikes to a high level. Even though the eyes have seen it, the brain records it but then concentrates on looking for more threats or where you need to steer etc. Sounds reasonable. How many times have you heard the quote bove?
hey Dee i put the listing as this women because she was one and if it was a fuckwit male i sertanly would have put this man but to f*&^ing drag the bike under her car and not stop for 250 m what the f*** did she think she hit a pot hole
AND I DID SAY THIS WOMEN NOT ALL WOMEN
narrow minded wait to you meat me b4 you judge me or may it be you are so defensive because you are one of those useless 4x4 drivers male or female and i had myself a 4x4 up into last week. THE WARRIOR

Listen let's face the facts here.
Bikes ARE harder to see.
Most bike accidents are by themselves and other vehicles are not involved.
It's easy to blame cars/4wd's whatever but the bottom line is we have to ride like they are all out to get us.
I've said this before ..I drive a 4wd and do not have an attitude at all.
In fact you would be amazed how slow I drive.
It's always easy to pidgeon hole people...just like car drivers pidgeon hole bikes..that they are all dickheads...and when you look around at how a lot of bike riders ride...they may be onto something.
I saw a young bloke in t shirt and runners on a 250 or something going down the centre line of Sydney Rd today with bumper to bumper traffic both ways trying to do a mono...
now that is just f*&^ing on a death wish. Cheers,
Pete

Hi Rod,
I am just going to have to take your word for it that you would have written "this man has a 4x4" if it was a male.
As for judging, you yourself have just judged this women on what one reporter has written, but of course it must be true that she dragged it down the road 250m cause that is what was written.
I have seen a number of times 4x4's in incidents and what was written in the press was not true at all.
Myself I am sick of hearing the women/four wheel drive shit and that is where this post was going to end up, so I figured I would have my say before it got there.
Cheers Dee
I reckon its a numbers game ! The more close shaves we have the closer we are to the finale one ! My last shave was on a Hangmore ride overtaking 5 bikes at about 160 when one bikes indecated (luckerly) and pulled out had know idea what nearly happend and that was on Dirt Bags memorial ride . So when l add up my skill leval , my income from my business if i`m not there and most importantly my 3 year old son and (pergers) wife , l reckon l`ve to much to lose right now . Reckon l`ll just do track days now .Maybe just get a new ish banged up 750 gixer from the auctions and get some kicks that way ! Hope you all have out there but rember as a good Man seed to me (Ronnie Ram sheep l meen Jet) .The most important rule is don`t forget to make it HOME!

I had a moded 2004 wranger (bought new). 6" lift, 37" Baja claw mud tyres aon 15x10" beadlock wheels,, low gear ratios, diff locks, etc.. etc.. you name it, it was on there.. With the noise of the tyres and the suspension clunking.. Apart from the fact it was that high a bike rider could ride underneath and come out the other side without a mark, I could be dragging a bike under there for a week and think nothing of it.. I dont want to make light of a serious incident because after writing off my last bike sliding between two cars across two lanes of traffic on a round about, I thought about it for a long time before getting another bike (hence the jeep in between) Regardless of whos fault it was, and what could or couldnt have been done to prevent or lessen the result, until we are in that situation we just dont know. After many years of advance driving courses I learnt that all the amazing things I thought I could do in my head, just were not realisitic in a real situation... simple things like swerving in traffic to avoid an obstacle at 60kms...then re-enter your lane before hitting something else. Take your car down to deca, setup some wiches hats and give it a shot.. Its not as easy as we would like to think it is.
I'm sure the driver is feeling the pain.. She will live with the thoughts, the what if's etc.. for the rest of her life. She doesnt need our criticisms of her abilities or actions.. She has a life time to do that to herself.
Becareful peoples.. After the week just past I'm convinced I will go down stairs and find my gf with some tools dismantling the busa.

talking to you on the weekend aza i no you used your 4x4 but if you look at her vehicle you can see its just a around town car wich i have no problem with that as she may have 6 kids and i would rather have a 4x4 befour i would have a van but i think every one is missing the point .
I SAID THIS WOMEN BECAUSE SHE IS ONE
AND I SAID 4X4 BECAUSE IT WAS ONE
