Chain and sprockets
#1
I up for a new chain and sprockets. Any opinions as to the best aftermarket ones? Bloody MCAS tried to sell me a renthol dirtbike sprocket for the rear! Reckoned it would be fine. Anyone heard of this sort of thing?
Any help would be appreciated.

stick to the DID chain (i think its ZVM) 25k on mine already hasnt needed adjustment even once unlike oem every thou or so which stretches to buggery. dunno much about diff in sprockets.

G'day Shane, did mine a couple of thousand k's ago and geared it down a bit.Went for 17 front and 43 tooth rear, its something you wont regret doing, i went with original suzuki front (a bit expensive but it has the cush drive)and the 43 is off a vn 800 kwaka. The chain i went for was a DID gold and it seems to be doing a good job.You can get away with using the standard amount of links with the 43 tooth and it will shorten your wheel base a bit.

NO MORE BEARING NOISE
After replacing front wheel bearings and then the rear wheel bearings with no success to try to get noise that comes in at around 80 kms and goes at around 130kms, i have found it was the front F"n sprocket, when changing sprockets make sure you get the front one with the rubber dampers on it, don't make the same mistake Guys.
Cheers Robert

I run with 17 on front and 43 on rear, gives it heaps more grunt down low and you loose about 10kph top end, i have a 99 mod.

This dose not happen to bikes for some reason
Cheers Robert
