Its Painting Time!!

Hey guys

After much thought I have decided I'll keep the O/G colours, now I just need someone to paint it - any ideas? recommend anyone? I am living in the city in Melbourne atm.

as a min will need to be able to do the paint job - fit all the plastics including some repairs - fit crash knobs as well & maybe one or two other bits of bling Very Happy

cheers in advance for any tips ;) "Busa riders always count in three's.... 100, 200, 300"

I've had a bit of work done by Ian at Original Finish in kilsyth. Always been happy with the finish and I've now had quite a few bikes done there (he's doing my busa when its finished as well).

just a suggestion though, i'm sure there was a post on the a while back when I played tag with that

I cant believe im agreeing with rocket...

Still Ian has always done great work on my bikes and when he was painting my 400katana recently the repair he had to do on the side covers was a real pain in the arse as the panel had been split in half, and to look at it now you coluldn't tell. mirror finish black gloss Edited by: Maggot1300 at: 31/10/06 9:39

Thats good enough for me guys

OG finish I have had you guys, pete & a few mates of my own all say to goto OG finish

one last question - I rang him - ball park of 1800 for the spray, not including stickers
Now - I have sprayed it once before, the little suzuki sticker on the front - 80 bucks I remember paying for it & about 170 odd each for the side ones - since its a full spray - there is no way in HELL I am going to fork out for stickers from suzuki... so - stickers..... any idea where to get them or who might make them up? I have rang a few places but no luck "Busa riders always count in three's.... 100, 200, 300"

Raz - I can vouch for the quality of Glen's work although he can be a pain in the ass perfectionist he always delivers a top product and he doesn't charge like some.

ah thanks - yeah after I posted that I read on & found your posts about Nath & elecro - thanks for that number as I promptly posted asking for it hehehe

only getting the rider pegs & pillion pegs done.. oh & grab rail. Found a place that does the stickers & custom colours as well but will wait for Glen

Was thinking of getting the indo glow dials put in the dash while its getting a spray as well - need to find someone with stock asap tho - going to orignal finish saturday to confirm quote & paint work - then the following weekend drop it off if I dont leave it there this weekend for him to start. no probs Raz, but I'd give glen a call if you can since i'm sure his prices are better than that and having a set of his decals myself i can vouch for the quality too. Edited by: Maggot1300 at: 31/10/06 23:08

yeah sent him a PM - I am wondering - I remember seeing a few pics of some I think he had or has done - real smick ones as I wouldn't mind something a little more custom ;)

oh reckon I should get that grill mess in while he is painting as well? I got about 2.5k to spend on the paint work & some extras, like the grill messing, recover on my seat & maybe the polish jobby as well hehehe Love my tax return this year hehe
But then after all that - gotta go new tyres lol, so trying to fit in the spray, decals, new screen, repairs to plastic & to cover the seat - its looking like I might have to turn to reserves "Busa riders always count in three's.... 100, 200, 300"

ELECTROMOLD??? you may as well go and get the decals off suzuki if you want to blow that much money.

Give Nathan (Jamies brother) a call on 0427473004 at extreme metal polishing, you'll choke when you compare electromold's prices to his
