Has anyone had their first bike rego renewal since the $100 increase has been added on ?
Just paid my first car rego and it's gone up by $113 , $755 for a V6 Commodore wagon
With two cars and two bikes it's a $400+ a year increase for me.
Yes have had a couple already with quite a few more to come unfortunately.
I think it's good we are now covered but think it would be fairer to put the increase
on your licence.
After all I can only ride one at a time.
Not enough money in it for the government then though I suppose.
I'm hearing everyone we have 3 cars and 1 bike and couldn't believe it when the bike was nearly 400. Oh well like the other have said a piece of mind if involved in a serious accident but I do have to agree with Duc though it would have made more sense to put it on our licence.
But there might be a silver lining though because my insurance for my missus car was 100 bucks cheaper than last year.
It looks like WA is starting to catch up with the rediculous prices charged here in SA.
I pay $137 per quarter to register my bike.
$548 per year if paid quarterly.
They do offer us a discount if paid yearly though. Brings it back to $475.
Lucky us.
Don't even start me on car / ute / trailer / boat / jetski prices though.
If you have lost any points off your license that works against you too. Some of the insurance companies slam you with an extra (up to) $250 on your CTP if you have. I'm pretty sure that GIO was the only one that didn't when I last registered mine.

Yes that's correct,
however I haven't lost any points at all,
that's the best price I could get,
like you say if I had lost any points at all it would be even dearer than this
