My eye sight was great (according to me) until I started my recent job of estimator for domestic construction. Within a year my eyesight went to shit for reading but everything else seems fine LOL I don't wear glasses when riding but do while driving ??? I have 1 eye near sighted the other far sighted so pretty f****d either way.
I ride to my ability and no matter how 20/20 or 0/0 your sight is no one can see around a blind corner.

Mine got slowly worse and I needed reading glasses full time.
Then went to Meadownick and had the laser treatment. Fantastic. But after five years started using reading glasses again, and now have some others for watching TV. I go to Specsavers every year, get a check, and get a new pair - pretty reasonable cost. Last years glasses end up in the shed (where I need them most!) Get your eyes checked regularly - it's quick and easy and not expensive any more?
I'm approaching 47 and have always considered my eyesight to be very good, until recently..
The first thing I noticed was that after a lazy day laying on the couch watching tv, I then had to go for a drive and I was finding it difficult to focus. I assumed that I had some kind of a fixed focal point thing happening if there is such a thing. Coincidently I then had to have an eye test which found my eyesight was fine. But over the last 6 months I now find myself struggling to read small print, doing what I have seen many other people doing, that is moving things further away from my eyes to see or read them.....long sighted I think. To date, I have not done anything about it, and it doesn't affect my riding or driving, only close up reading. I suppose my point here is that my eyesight has worsened, and it has happened quickly. I have come to the conclusion that once you hit 45, your knackered.....lol One last point, I spend at least 9 hours a day in front of a computer screen, and have done for at least a decade. What effect this has had I don't know.

at 49 i was looking for better light to read the paper , my daughter offered her glasses and right then when i tried them i knew just how much my of sight was gone ,
went out soon after had my eyes tested and got reading glasses , takes a while to get used to them,, blurry for a few secs when you take them off, but the eyes learn to adjust now at 51 i know its time for a retest, the old man said his changed quickly then stabilised for quite a few years , i'm hoping for similar
55 refuse to wear glasses. I'm in denial. BUT they are deteriorating. Only for reading so far. Small print and menus at dark restaurants etc. I think that is pretty normal at my age. Other vision is great no issues.
I have a theory that as soon as I start using reading glasses my eyes will get lazier and lazier, so I'm not going there until I have no choice. Lol. I'm another on the computer way too much. Don't have a prob reading from the screen though. Must be conditioned to that focal length. We need to face the facts though, we ARE deteriorating as young as we pretend we are.. :-( Just don't forget to play The Motorcycle Song at my funeral! (PS I do have a cheap pair of reading glasses on my desk and use them when I have no choice)

With all these responses, It begs the question, what is the average age of a Hayabusa rider?
It would appear it's somewhat on the older side.....
