things you notice when you come back from overseas.
We have so much space.
Our public facilities, parks etc are second to none.
Our countryside is awesome.
Melbourne is a beautiful place comparable to anywhere in the world.

I remember when I was in Norway talking with a family after dinner.... I think we worked out that the QLD floods covered an area equal to ab out 5 or 6 European countries LOL

USELESS FACTS:

W.A is the 2nd largest Country subdivision in the world @ 2.65 mill square K's

QLD is the 6th largest Country subdivision in the world @ 1.85 mill square K's

I lived in the UK and still travel a fair bit.
Been back and forth to Europe 9 times in the last 14 years.
Did Paris, London etc earlier this year.

I looked at several country's to settle in before I chose Australia.
It was actually my 2nd choice but I can always change back to my number 1 but not the other way around.

Glad I moved here, do like the place.
I miss the UK's history and its stronger bike scene as well as how easy it is to jump
between several neighbouring countrys with very different cultures, but here certainly has its advantages.

It's far from being "The Promised Land" though.
Bogans, Racists, over taxed, low speed limits, over zealous cops and being a little
to keen to follow the Yanks both in wars and fashion and a few other area's.

Not sure about retiring here but for the moment I'm enjoying what I have in life
and from what I've seen there are much worse places to be.

I have always loved the Island of Cyprus.
Similar weather to Qld, but more laid back. Went several times doing my homework.
Got friends and had job offers there, and for me personally it suited as being handy for the UK.
The economy has taken a down turn but not as bad as Greece and a few others.

Wasn't going to be as easy for me to get into AU after I turned 40,
I can always go back to Cyprus.

Funny, my new Australian wife also live there for 6 months and loved the place.

Probably wouldn't suit everyone but I think I would have been happy there too.

I have lived in OZ for 11 years. Came Thursday night bought a mobike Sunday morning Honda cbr1000f. The Busa is no. 9. I travelled all over, met bikers, bikiees, bogans, farmers, miners, aboriginal and others.I lived in a few places in OZ like remote communities etc. I have found Australia honest, friendly, sensitive generous people. I did 2 years in the reserves as well. I am glad to be here, enjoying my experiences and proud to call it home.
Don't tempt fate,TAUNT IT!
