I came across a really unique bike a while ago looking around the 'net. I've always felt the round flowing lines on the Hayabusa reminded me of the 'organic' feel of the "Aliens" artwork by Geiger. It has not been something that has been copied, even with the status the Hayabusa has. Pointy and angular seems to be the rule.

This Art Deco custom bike was built in 1936 from a 1930 Henderson Streamliner that coincidentally is an inline four as well. It has that same 'love it or hate it' response that the 'busa gets from it's styling........

Either way you have to admire the effort.

What a little ripper! And look, it's got the integrated tail indicators, not lamps stuck out on little sticks like so many bikes still have. I want one.

That there is some mighty fine tinwork!
And its shape is close enough to make you wonder!

Gringo, I'd hate to see the price tag. Glad you don't want two, since there isn't that many in existence. According to what I read, it is in original condition and actually runs.

lol, it's a suzuki boulevard alright homer. And yes I'd need a lot more money than I have now wouldn't I. It's amazing what can be acomplished when the world is not engaged in an all out war isn't it. People have time to relax and come up with unique designs and what not. Then you need the war to get all the technical and materials innovation I suppose.

At the end of the day though we're still just rolling over asphalt on rubber tires burning petrol. I bet back in those days they would have invisoned us flying over the ground on bubble bikes by now.
