Very cool and interesting. Like they said, much more acceptable than a Segway.
Perfect for city apartment living and 5 to 10 minute commutes. Don't think it'll be seeing any knee down action though.

Looks like he has "borrowed" a very similar or [....for copyright/patent reasons] slightly different "self-balancing" system as the Segway, but this design definately takes it up another level!!! I've been lucky enough to have had a couple of hit-outs on a Segway, and as fun as they are, it was obvious that there is always room for improvement!! Compared to a Segway, this vehicle would be MUCH more stable, manoeuvrable and heaps easier to use, thanks to a much lower centre of gravity!! Also, sitting down on a seat compared to standing up would make it much more comfortable, especially on longer journeys! It looks like a winner to me.......it all comes down to pricing and how the powers that be like it, ie: will they allow it to be used in and around urban/city areas, and on roads!?! |
