Timing Chain & Tensioner

Hey guys, can the timing chain & tensioner be replaced without taking the engine out of the bike??? 2004

Next question. Any Brissy guys recommend someone local to do it???

Yes I put an ape cam chain tensioner in my 99 it's an easy job just takes time.

Just don't overtighten the manual tensioner! It's easy to do and ends in tears.

Then how about the roller cam chain conversion with the OEM tensioner. Will that end in tears as well ? Should work good with the oil pressure bumped up

But use a new oem tensioner, i like the oem more than the manual for most applications , but all out race engines with high engine acceleration rates, high spring rates and big cams may be better off with the manual.
Poor little ratchet gets a flogging in those circumstances and first sign of a problem could be big
