back to work

Back to work after (Vietnam) holiday.
Bummer.

Came back to find that the client can't afford us anymore so the contract has been terminated and I have to redeliver the ship back to Singapore. Then look for another job in the new year.

Loading diesel fuel today for the trip back - 14 days.
Topping up the tanks with 500,000 litres - "will that be cash, cheque or credit"?
Thats ten B-double road tankers loads of fuel.
One of the truck drivers, who has never seen a ship before, said "wheres it all going, mate, its like pouring it into a hole in the ground!"

(we can carry 11 million litres of diesel - fill her up, mate!)

As vessel & fuel is for export your company's fuel expenses will be reduced to around 55 percent of what the domestic punter would pay at the pump as is Customs & Excise Exempt.

Ya never know?
My daughter joined Skandi Hawk last week. She's a subsea installation engineer with Apache. Says its a bit chaotic on there with all the people onboard; not too keen on that!
Hope ya well, and home for Christmas?

It was great when I was on there (Hawk) as Client rep, think POB was about 35 odd from memory. Was really quiet, just the way I like it. Great food on board, best I've had to be honest. Wonder if she's taking direction from Warren Lund or David White (Apache)??
I'm home for xmas this year, I'm tied on shore for the next 9 weeks at least, preparing for an abandonment (Puffin 7 and Pufin 8) for Sinopec.

Camel, we have a few guys at Gorgon on rotation performing ROV work, they love it....not my choice of places to work though..however they are Perth based employees.

Thats very kind of you guys; much appreciated!
I think I will stay here and ride it into the ground - then see what the options are.
This ship is here in Oz, 'Australianised', with a full Oz crew, so should be pretty marketable.
If all else fails, I can go back to my previous employment doing Brazilian wax jobs and genital piercing (strictly females only though!!)
