Name's Dan. Previous bikes BMWF650GS, Suzuki Bandit 1200, Honda VTX1800, BMW K1200RS and now a 2010 Busa.

It's got Yoshi's, iridium screen, heaps of touring gear and was in impecable condition until it decided to drop itself (I think I parked it badly).

I bought it to race so have Oggy's coming, bought all the Dianese goodies until they burnt in a garage fire and I plan on doing some track days and completing CSS next year.

Anyway, thanks for having me on board and I look forward to any advice specifically in relation to the craft of racing.

Welcome Woohoo, another big 'busa circulating the tracks.
CSS is awesome. Make sure you take your bike to Phillip Island. They just love that fast flowing circuit. Trophy

Alchemist - i'm in Dubbo, it's a late 2010 model bought in 2011. I asked the same question, but can't really remember the response. I've checked absolutely everywhere for respray or damage and it seems legit.

PAN - I like curves in all respects. Skinny straight lines are for gen Y'ers and hipsters.

p.s. I need ideas for subtle/retro yet aerodynamic aftermarket mirrors. Those behemoths are tack as all hell.

Welcome

If you like curves then the busa is definitely your bike (girl) Yes

Why use mirrors, they only show you if anyone is coming up behind you which should NEVER happen on a busa (unless ur old and slow like me Lol3 ). I think the mirror set-up is the same as for the gixxer (GSXR1000) but others will be able to confirm that. I got some after market mirrors that are def more aerodynamic and smaller but ultimately illegal if the Police ever wanted to be mean to me Pi_thumbsdown

Hope you enjoy ur new toy and good to see another busa convert Trophy

cheers

P.S.
I nearly thought you said "Skinny straight lines are for gen II'ers and hipsters..." hahahahahahhaaaaaaaa

I had to plane it to Sydney (where a cop called me and told me my man-land burnt down), then to Albury. Rode it back up, showed it off to a fellow busa mate and down she decided to go. This was after some schitt bling chain guard came off at speed and ground the rear wheel in various areas.

Had a better couple of days, but now I've got a 13k visa card to spend on tools/mods plus i'm going to have a bigger shed made up. Eventually i'll be in Biker's paradise (sans 42 virgins)..
