Hi All, just swapped out my fuel filter, the old filter frame was beginning to atrophy while the filter screen was heavily clogged but still working.

Cost $72.47 plus delivery, not a must do repair but I feel a bit better knowing I have a decent filter in the tank. I'm looking at adding a inline filter as well (kudos to Rod).

Well there sort of suppose to stop anything big getting through so I'm not sure if I could agree that they do nothing. Already onto the fuel pump filter though;

$42.90, next on the list. Thought id follow a cool way of checking pump flow after the filter change that Maj posted. Not sure what you meant about the inline filter, do they fall apart?

no the 1999 2000 model filter is a lot sturdier then the later models ,this is my old filter floating in petrol that came out of the pump,

Yes this often the case, working in IT I've seen the quality of components drop exponentially with there cost but unlike engine components the production savings are often not passed onto the consumer so you end up paying the same or more for a lower quality product, what can do
