work in progress!

Fitted Puig hugger
Fitted Quickshifter (upper pedestal glued to frame)
Fitted Vortex rear sets
Fitted my cut down exhaust hangers
Fitted new side stand
Lowered front and rear, Soupys adjustable links (and took everyones advice!)(But brake clutch reservoirs touch windscreen - Dremel fixed that!)
Fitted radial brake conversion (08 callipers, Venhill braided lines, Galfer pads)
Havent yet got the carbon fibre sleeves to finish off my cut down Yoshi RS3. But it sure sounded pretty good as is !
So, couldn't help myself, slapped on the GoPro (mounted on the Oggie) taped on the microphone to the hump, and went for a test fly.
Didn't go so good really.
Tested the brakes and they're great - huge difference and improvement (thanks Big Kev for the info you posted).
Seemed to get through my favourite corners OK after I've mucked around with the ride heights?
But the Power Commander 3 and Quickshifter are a disaster - fluffing and stalling under load, blah, blah. (reckon i may have to read the book!)
BUT!
When the quick shifter kicked in - what a blast!
I am a convert! Sensational!!
I will try again tomorrow, but will probably take it to a PC specialist and get it set up properly.
Stinking hot here today, and after a long sweaty day at WSBK (and Bar SBK!) yesterday the head was not working so well.
And the helmet didn't smell so good either!
Little bit dissapointed - but tomorrows another day

........WSBK - what a goddam f** awesome event.....!!!!

The Dynojet quickshifter kit is pretty comprehensive and even includes drill bits and a little tapping tool. Also a good range of bolts and different size pedestals to mount the pivot points properly. The instruction sheet is pretty good too. I had to drill and tap a small hole in the lever and then glued the other end to the frame, using the larger pedestal. If this fails I will drill and tap a small hole in the same place as it doesnt seem to be such a big deal (so I've read!?). You have to ensure that you mount it in such a way that there is still sufficient stroke in the push rod - they give you all the dimensions. Then just the one wire up to the PC3. I thought I would try and curl the wire a bit (wrapped it round a pencil and hit it with the heat gun) but I'm now not so sure its a good look. When you plug it into the PC3 (while plugged into a laptop) nothing much happened until I started the engine and then the "shift-kill" menu came up. To be honest I haven't got it right yet and it needs a bit more fiddling around with the settings. It looks pretty straight forward though. It was stinking hot and I had a WSBK hangover the first day - then its pissed down with rain ever since! I have it set for over 4500 RPM and it kicks in then and the change is instant. Its a blast! However I am getting some stuttering, blurting and farting so I think the ignition is being interupted when it shouldnt be. I cant figure out how sensitive the push switch is - perhaps if the pedal jiggles a bit while your going along, then its sends the interupt signal to the PC3? I will keep trying but if all else fails I'll have to take it to a MAN.

Does the quick shift set off the FI light on the dash when it kicks in?

I've got the Bazzaz quickshift and on the Gen 1 it sets off the FI light as it cuts the ignition and the ECU thinks there is a fuel issue. Was wondering if the Dynojet has the same issue.

Haven't noticed that, but I haven't had it running long enough yet. I'll check it out tomorrow. Rob

curious, do you get wind noise with the gopro? Or have you done the external mic mod?

Did the external mike thing and taped it to the hump, but still got a lot of wind noise and the exhaust sound like shit - so not worth the effort there. But I am going to try and stick it under the tail next time. Hope ya well!
