im over in blacktown, probably a good 30 -40 minutes
away from hornsby, but ur more than welcome to stay
here if u cant find any1 closer.

I actually thought you were gee-ing us all up, ROD.....but then my curiousity got the better of me....so I googled "Vengaboys" and "Hornsby RSL" and sure enough, that date [17th Jan] popped up!!!

Now.....normally I'd say that your "secrets safe" with me .....but this IS a public forum....so your street cred has taken a terribly hard whacking right here and now.....and when ya think about it.....it may never really ever fully recover!!!

Ok I had to double check with poor Rod to that is was THE Vengaboys.
I too was a bit shocked.
I play this band when djing, usually Vengaboys Megamix and the music is good but Rod's not the type I would ever have thought would be into Vengaboys.
Good luck to you anyway Rod and have a blast!

They had very catchy tunes they did, Remember this well at nightclubs in the mid 1990's pissed of my face watching the teen chicks dressed in their tight clothes dancing to this music in clubs on the Sydneys Northern Beaches. "We like to party", Venga bus is here". Memories.

However the Barbie song was a bit irritating. Which reminds me, so was that Chumbawumba band around that time, those tunes were f****d.

Rod, I got a place at Manly, Sydneys Northern Beaches if you want to stay. It is 25kms away from Hornsby RSL but you are more than welcome friend.

I dont think there are any camping spots around nearby, there are hotel rooms if you want closer. However, the police are going to be blitzing everywhere for RBT's so be careful.

I am having trouble with the concept of time, I have seen DEVO live, they are doing another tour here, John Farnham, B52's and other 80's cover bands. It is now almost 2013 and I am still having 80's flashbacks. That was 20 odd years ago. Where did that time go? Now the Vengaboys is getting retro.

And I forgot, time and gravity can be cruel, if some of the Vengaboys chick clubby dancers from back in the 1990's came back out into the clubs in their tight skirts to relive the Venga dance nights at clubs.. some would not be allowed entry.....
