Would anyone know if gsxr 1000 bars are the same diameter as a busa. I reckon I need some clip ons and saw gsxr ones for $84 on eBay.

From ebay there are aftermarket ones that say they fit both GSXR1000 and Hayabusa, so they're probably the same diameter.

Did you have to drop the forks through the top clamp to fit the clip ons?

For what fester has done you have to but you can get raised clips ons that will mount below the top triple clamp if you dont want to drop the front end.
