Do you have power adders like nos or turbo, if not get yours cleaned , std injectors are fine
and injector changes apart from std would need a complete remap.

I usually change my combinations so often i have never needed a cleaner, but would take them to a local guy that does car injectors if i did need to,
not all that struck with the tip in the tank stuff, never know what it will disturb...
Currently having all sorts of dramas with a few diesel tractors and trucks , our mobile fuel tank for servicing in paddock had a leak in top and would let water in unknown to us for too long, all the vehicles got water in the fuel, , so replaced all filters and drained the water out the bottom of the tanks actually wiped out the insides of the tanks we could get to via fuel sender hole etc then put in fuel conditioner ... 3 sets of filters later i'm still having problems every few hours use :(

Like the man said, no need to change injector (upgrade)type if your bike's not turbo, supercharged. By memory, what's left of it, your stock injectors are good up to about 270HP, and then you can bump your fuel pressure up if you want. And/or with Gen2 n fit a Power CommanderV & Secondary injector controller. Secondary Injectors on Gen2 don't kick in to about 5,500rpm.

Gen2 , try this;
Dump some of this in your fuel, which I'll do anyway every time I change my oil;
Nulon - Petrol Injector Cleaner
http://www.nulon.com.au/products/Fuel_Tr...r_Cleaner/
....run the bike about 200kms;

....n once every so often;

Swap your primary injectors out with your secondary injectors, dump some more Nulon Petrol Injector Cleaner in your tank.
Done.

OR;

Take your injectors to somebody who has one of these;

Fuel Injector Cleaning Machine

http://www.alibaba.com/showroom/fuel-inj...chine.html

or buy your own n do it yourself. New injectors ?

Pretty hard to tell what's going on unless you've got 4 x EGT probes fitted.

...sounds like you need a stand alone vertical water trap prior to your filters, same as all "real" marine diesels.

Sorted now Brad
Better designed filter with water trap , replaced the mechanical pump with a car efi pump and regulator.
done that to a couple of old diesels now, no need to hand prime just key on
Black smoke everywhere now, like its supposed to when working hard :)

Black smoke ? Unburnt fuel n/or poor injector spray pattern.
Would cost $1100 for new 11" injector throttle bodies so used to pull em every trip when she startin blowin black smoke n used to lap all seats with Autosol metal polish n set to blow off at 84 kg/cm2.
Easy to pick which one was a shot duck by the EGTSun
