Howdy - Just joined up. Sorry but I don't own a Busa as yet. But am seriously contemplating buying a 1999 Copper / Silver Gen 1. I thought this would be the best place to get some feedback and info. I currently ride a 93 ZXR-750 with ZX9 motor transplant. So be prepared for some stupid questions, as I've alway had Kwaka's.

Cheers, Jed

Sounds good, Pi_thumbsup if you're gonna buy a 'busa - buy the REAL one !! Pi_tongue

No such thing as stupid questions, other wise we'd all be guilty. This is a great site for all the answers you'll need, and you'll soon recognise who's advise is worth taking notice of.

Welcome Jed. Like Wardy said, it's a great club, but you'll figure out who to listen to... Don't listen to Wardy for example. He loves Copper bikes! Listen to me. Red ones are faster!

I'm in Armidale. Will be moving back up Toowoomba (Qld) way as soon as my house sells. I have been given permission from the finance minister to buy another bike once that happens. Therefore looking at a Busa. A guy on another Forum I'm a member of is selling his Copper / Silver 1999 model. So am looking at that. Only thing that has me questioning it is it has a lot of Km's on it.
Anyway here's the Kwaka (Sorry about the crappy phone pics. They are the only recent ones I have at the moment)

Welcome Jed . What do you call a lot of km's ? What is seems to be many
Km's on other bike's is not necessarily high km's on a busa. There is a
point which is high, say 250,000 you will need to spend some dough to get it up to scratch . If it's been looked after, a gen 1 at the right price with 80,000 km ish on it is still a good buy in my opinion .

It's got 100k on it. Is supposed to have been really well looked after. My Kwaka has just over 80 on it and still goes well.

Providing that it has actually been well looked after that amount of K's wouldn't put me off a copper/silver 99, at the right price. .

100,000kms is ot a problem for the Busa

My current one has well over 100,000
