another shameless cash grab in Qld
#1
Heard from a guy who has some transport buddies that told him not to get a full system as the police were going to be doing a blitz
& the sting was for no cat in the system.
Any other states got this going on ?

Got an email form a mate who just got a new Apriia & just put his system on when he got this info off the Aprilia Forum

Pi_thumbsdownA guy from the Aprilia Forum had a conversation with a copper recently and he disclosed this:-

They have been issued with meters to detect exhaust gases that indicate that the cat has been removed.
Bike in instantly unroadworthy plates and rego sticker removed, you must get the bike trailered home get the RWC done and get the bike re-registered.

Oh there is also a $600 fine and four points

Get caught three times and it is bye bye bike under the anti hoon laws.

This shameless cash grab was proposed some time ago but rejected by the Bligh gov.
Another study was done indicating that 1 in 3 bikes had an aftermarket exhaust with the cat removed and the study showed that the revenue raised could be as high as $200mil.Wtf

Think about how many business may suffer as well in sales, tuning etc.

why dont they just piss off

Just proves again that the coppers stand for nothing, and have lost touch with there sole purpose for their existence. Now, sadly, policing is purely ran as a business with increasing profits and fewer overheads.

Wonder how long it will be before they bring in a fixed camera to do this job too....

South Aussie is cracking down on powercommanders and other fuel modifiers ,
Cat may be another odd one, i don't believe there legislated for use on a bike , but it is an offence to remove a cat from a vehicle ???

Personally, I dont know of this one, but, the Boys in Blue over here are taking particular interest in our rear gaurds, ie: wether they are cut down, or still at 45 degrees from the Centre of the Rear Axle!

Oh well, less than 10% loss of EG cfm flow.
http://www.horsepowerinabox.com/HPIAB2/category85_1.htm
Just as long as one of these is installed after one's wide band O2 sensor.
It's even got a bacon Police deflector "compliant" stamp on it.

The Australian Government has the Engineering Aptitude of a Peanut that is currently driven by the lesbians & homosexuals in the "Greens".
The increased Volumetric Efficiency of your Busa motor will reduce fuel consumption & reduce emissions. But no, those fuc*in money grubbing maggots just want you burning up a shi*load of fuel towing around a massively heavy OEM exhaust system. Wtf
... and never mind the "carbon tax" that the commo Labor Government has only put on diesel to drive Australia's transport industry broke & the fact that the bitch didn't put it on petrol to buy your votesPi_thumbsdown

In S.A the Police have been targeting bikes for the whole month of November Pi_thumbsdown

It's a known fact the Rann Government wants more money $$ !!
Cops quota's are being enforced Police

I got pinned on the Busa riding out in the countryside at 8.30 at night by a lone motorcycle cop sitting in the dark waiting for victims .
(known motorcycle route I must add )

This week I personally saw Police dressed as road-workers , 25km road signs & down to one lane but at the end down a side street all these Cops parked & Police hiding around the corner . The supposedly road workers calling in people talking on there mobiles etc to be greeted by Police at the end of the road works & directed down the side street to be fined !!

I rode my Busa in a 'generally' disciplined and controlled manner through peak hour traffic from the Northern suburbs of of Perth way over to Armadale last Tuesday against some wannabe on an R1 and I NEVER attracted the attention of our boys in blue. Must be because I've kept my catalytic converters in place and can turn the O2 sensor off and on at will! GIDDYUP!
