Howdy FONC, FYI i just bought some Braketech Disks from Ray at Easyrider Imports, whilst the Disks that I bought were not Wave's they are a fantastic set of Disks and pull up the K9 like a F1 Car!!

Ray is on this Forum.

Fonc , I've had Braketech rotors for a couple of years now & being cast iron rather than s/s ,the pads bite better & Hence Work better, but a bit dearer than the eBay stuff . King has a link to the ones he got (cheapie's ) & he is more than happy with them . Same old story ,do you pay the buck's for the best or settle for one's that just Do.They are way cheaper
now than when I got Mine .Call Ray Kawasuki .He also has the recommended organic pads that won't rip the shit out of your rotor's & they work great . Matt's a big boy,so If they stop him they will throw you over the bars mate .

I've got Arashi wave discs on my '06, they are a copy of the wave discs and they've been fine. Got them off ebay for about $220 delivered for the set and I've done over 20,000kms on them now.
In combination with EBC HH pads and braided lines they are much better than stock.
The more expensive discs are possibly better again, I can't say as I haven't tried them. Guess as with all things it depends on how much you want to (or can) spend at the time.

I've got the Braketech Iron rotors on mine...great brakes. Got them from Kawasuki.

Also got the pads Ray supplies with them. However I did have an issue with the race pads in the wet....I found it hard to pull up at times. I believe it may have been that riding around Canberra, and my style of riding, the brakes may not have been getting hot enough to work effectively for me in the wet.

I changed pads to Ferodo Platinum. These pads are suitable for both steel and iron rotors. I got my wet weather brakes back, but I did loose the nice initial bike the race pads had in the dry.

Ryan,

Sorry I missed your question...

I bought direct from Galfer. Then when they got here I had them re-anodised. $70.
