Adrenaline pumping ride today

Beautiful day for a ride this morning through the back of Chittering Valley, cyclist avent in progress (100's of them) so took care. Saw a kangaroo in the corner of my eye on the side of the road, took evasive action, had to lock up as he jumped in front of the bike and stopped.Pi_freak only just missed me .....Then not 5 minutes later a total utter wanker in a 4 wheel drive came over the crest of a hill completely on my side of the road, trying to over take cyclists, again evasive action.... went as close to the side of the road as possible not wanting to hit gravel.... wanker missed my right mirror by a cmPi_freak adrenaline truly kicked. So waved hubby to lead..... hit Delwar & Bindoon road... emu's decided to run straight in front of us ....but one slow one decided to slam straight into hubbys roadster... Scary me screaming in my helmet saw nothing but emu legs and a mass ball of feathers, both bikes lock up and came to a screeming holt, upright and safelyClap car coming in opposite direction witnessed, pulled over to see if we were okay. Emu then jumped up and ran off. We then picked all the feathers out the roadster, and amazingly only small damage to radiator shroud... and a few scratches. Then carefully rode to New Norica Hotel for a very well deserved calming juice. Yes

You would need to go for a ride, just to get over that sort of a day Coolsmiley

I have always found cyclists to be the most dangerous, apart from the roos/mu's which are unpredictable. Cyclists always ride 2/3 astride and force cars into the oncoming lane as the speed differential is so great that cars don't have time to brake, but must swerve to miss them, especially in a blind tight corner going uphill! Meanwhile we are coming downhill and quite possibly OFF road and off hill!
Also Audi's BMW's and wannabe (rally) Evo drivers and BIG HRT and the like cars on a tight road where crossing the single unbroken white line is their preferred jolly. I often wish I had some sort of anti-tank device when I see them crossing and pushing me over to avoid them...but such is what it is.
It would be no different on Roman Chariots...Human Nature at it's best, often look rather daft.

Ummm probably wouldn't want your ride to work each day then...

Yep both okay, thank you... hubby fixed up the shroud around the radiator, we couldn't get over how lucky we were.
