Thanks to Jeff and crew for allowing me to test ride the new zx14 an Wsid last night.
Also thankyou Bruce for the unselfish act of giving up his own opportunity to ride the zx so I could run it.

It was not preety, mostly it was on the back wheel
I was only being polite when I offered it to Leonard he could have said no,selfish bastard.
He rode it beautifully, a quick lap of the carpark to get the feel and then slammed it off the line. The way it kept popping the front thru first and second infers it is either light in the front end or has a heap of grunt or both.
I beat it on my busa when Geoff was riding it so the score in Australia is busa 1 ZX nill Bruce

Only got to have the one run, only adj the clutch lever as far as it would go(needed a bit more adj to suit me.)WSIDSCM
Tire pressures as per road use.
Seat is way too high for the strip (read tippy toes for this short arse)but as for normal riding quite ok.
The Run.
Refused to go in to second for the burnout?????so did it in first.
Nailed the throttle off the line and it lifted, clutched it, lifted, clutched, lifted, clutched, then away we went still ran 1.8 60'
10.5 with a 138mph terminal.
Mph seems a bit low, but I the track conditions were not very forgiving.
Smooth run, clutch and footshifted, no problem.
Didn't set the world on fire or anything, a bit more seat time will definatly net a low 10.
Needs -1 on the front sprocket and maybe +2 on rear as well to really get it to fly, dog bones and a strap, mid to high 9's with 85kg and a 1.5 60' should be quite achieveable in the short time.
Easy bike to ride fast (on the track at least), not as grunty down low as the busa, really cant give accurate results for the seat time.
Jeff ran my busa and netted a 10.7 wheelspinning half the pass. (I think he may have been shocked it ran as fast as it did, seeing he ran the same time on the zx without all the wheelspin!).
I managed 9.9 9.9 and 9.8 all at around 138 with 1.5 60' on my Busa.
You needed to stay in "the groove" to keep traction otherwise it was all over.
Love to try again with a couple of little tweaks!
Leonard.
