What's the current hotness in slicks?

I need a new pair of slicks for my track toy. It's a CBR, built by HRC and raced in the Australian Superbike series, so it has a little bit of poke. Any suggestions the better slick for high powered bikes?

I never really thought about it ? I jest thought slicks was slicks ???

But now that I think about it, of course the must be differences in makes, compounds etc. What do most weekend track warriors use? Does track temp, summer/winter make a difference to choice?

Thanks kawasuki, it's what others have been saying to me too. Long story short, I cooked a pair of Michelin Pilot Pures at the track the other weekend. No big deal, I got them cheap and I can use them for a few thousand kms on a street bike. It just ended the day quickly.

Time to stop being a big wuss and switch to using slicks with warmers :)
