I managed a 1.9 60' time two weeks ago, but 1/4 was 11.2/ Was running a 43 tooth sprocket, so even though take off was a bit quicker, more gear changes, worse ET and lower end speed were the ultimate result...

Good to see you trying pan you can only go Faster.

Just keap looking for new things to try, like stage on your

rear brake instead of front. Or suspension set up ( make sure

you take down notes of what you have changed and were

you are at with set up ) and you may want to try lowering

it that worked for me. I was in the 10.3's for a time then I

started to play with suspension set up and height and started

to drop my times. As I said this is what I used just make sure

you have a good base line to go back to if you get lost in the

set up... AND TAKE NOTES OF WHAT YOU HAVE DONE..OK

I have been keeping notes...

What do you mean by stage on rear brake?

My bike shop ( who also runs a PRO Bike ) says that if you

stage on the rear brake intead of the front you can shave

some time in transfering weight from the front to the back

by loading up the rear suspension with the rear brake. So that

when you take off you allready have the rear end compresed

I have bin trying to do it my self but just can't brake my old

ways. Nex time your out in the car pull the hand brake on

and try to load up the drive line and feel how the car moves

on the springs you will see what I am on about.

It's all trial and error and you will find out what works for you

Hey Pan,

Another reason for using this method is to control wheel stands on launch with the rear brake although I find it a bit aggressive.

I prefer to use either the front brake to bury the front end to help with wheelstands or just hold my position on the line with my right foot down and slipping clutch allowing my left foot to be ready for the upshift and just control wheelstands with clutch control.

At the end of the day its about feeling comfortable and in control!

Thanks for the info Richard, I will be giving it a go later this week to see if it works for me as well!

Guy's what are your thoughts on the rpm setting for Raptor shift light on a stock engine 03?
It's currently set to 10600rpm but I feel that may be a bit high and thought that maybe somewhere between 10000 to 10300 may be more effective to achieve the best 1/4

Bike lowered 2" rear, strapped front, 43t rear sprocket

OHZONE
Could be (a colorless gas (O3) soluble in alkalis and cold water; a strong oxidizing agent; can be produced by electric discharge in oxygen or by the action of ultraviolet radiation on oxygen in the stratosphere (where it acts as a screen for ultraviolet radiation))
Or maybe he's just some Wanker in WA !.

At the moment I shift at 10 grand just as it comes past and

if you are a little slow (to shift ) you still have a few rpm left

before the limiter cuts in.

Works for me, but try a few new spots in the range ( 9, 9.5,

10 ) and see what feels right for you ..
