What is "slammed" ? I'm assuming it's the same as 'floored' in tin-top speak ?

As far as the rest of it is concerned.... well, its a bloody quick bike. Any minute now the bike press will officially be hailing it as the 'busa beater.

But then there are the 'usual' Kawasaki considerations (and yes, I've owned a few and recently ridden both a 10 and a 12). Both bloody quick... both a little twitchy and less than confidence inspiring in the twisties. Sure, that raw feel can be really exhilirating, but after a while it just becomes hard to live with. I don't know what the newest 10's are like, but I'd hope they've sorted out some of the power delivery and handling issues by now - and that the 14 has benefitted from any improvements. Otherwise, it'll be a handful.

When not on a drag strip, I like to be able to launch at 4000rpm with excellent stability - without having to fight to keep the front on the ground. Call me silly, but if a launch at 4000rpm is going to reliably cause a wheelstand, thats just not practical for the real world. Oh... and there aren't many corners on a drag strip.

Congratulations to Mr.K, looks like he's produced a winner. But I know which bike I'd rather be on.

The older I get, the better I was. Regards.... Rob (Astro)

during a test we put an average japanese rider on a slammed 06 Busa and a Slammed ZX14 with same everything(down to the gas in the tank), both with stock gearing, and stock pipes.

Hidetti Hoda went 9.90 on the Busa and 9.67 on the Kawi

oh ohh

There are a lot of things more that milliseconds in the drags for me between the Kawa and the Bus.
Sorry.. still impressive.

Simmo,
Alex ran a 9.6@138mph on Sparkles before she was boosted.
I think that was with a 1.4something 60 foot, this was with a 10inch extension.

Leonard has run into the 9's on a stock Busa, stock hieght and length stock motor.

Between Alex and Leonard there is not much in the 60 foot department, they are both clutch masters, and regularly run low 1.4's.

Probably fucken flip it. Might be claiming to be the new fastest bike around but it looks like a peice of shit. The busa looks the part and Joe would NEVER crank it up to it's fullest potential.

See here, young man, from Walgett to the sea,
From Conroy’s Gap to Castlereagh, there’s none can ride like me.
