On the 15th of April 2006 there will be the biggest race meeting for bikes in the world at WSID.
It is called Bikefest and it is a massive drag meet for bikes, no matter what you ride.
Last year they had classes for; sidecars, vintage handshifts, Harley choppers, V twin HD, V twin Jap, motards, streetbikes(3classes) modified bike, competition bike, pro stock bike, top fuel bike, and even the wildest bunch PRO STREET!!!
Metal mulisha show, custom bike show n shine, wet Tshirt comp (sorry girls) bands playing on 2 stages, and lots more.
This is an ALL BIKE MEET, we get TV coverage, and ALL the bike mags cover it, and you get to set up your own pit area as you please, ie; as a store front selling shirts, stickers, parts, etc.
This is not to be missed, it will be F#%KING HUGE this year and we want to make a BIG presence with street bikes.
It is also a top spot to sell your shirts and stickers and even special bikefest priced stunt schools.
If anyone needs info on setting up stalls, putting on exhebitions, etc let me know and I will put you in touch with who is in charge.

I'm there, we should organise (Busa's) to all turn up together. Bruce
See here, young man, from Walgett to the sea,
From Conroy’s Gap to Castlereagh, there’s none can ride like me.

As Above, what do we all have to do to race. I have a
U.D.L and log book but don't have a Teck check done
Is this an A.N.D.R.A sanctioned meet or................
Regards Richard and Nina...............
Just an early warning for those travelling to Sydney.
It's the Easter long weekend so we'll have the double demerits and lots of cops around... (also lots of idiot drivers/riders on long weekends)
I'm in for WSID.
PS: anyone want to have a think about organising a trip to Bathurst, a BBQ, or a dinner (or all of the above) the day before or something?
We could even do a picnic, BBQ at the Royal National Park. Plenty of parking for all the bikes, less than an hour away from Sydney and some decent roads... but also lots of idiots on long weekends...

Bikefest is run at an ANDRA track, so if you run under 10.5 you will need your licence, log book, and full leathers.
But last year there were heaps of street bikes racing and I doubt all of them had ANDRA licences.
So it comes down to weather you will break through the 10.5 before you get there.
As for setting up stalls, I will have to get in touch with Steve Stanley and find out what to do, I will let you know.
Hey guys
Just wondering if there any chance things might be run differently / better this year.
eg starting when they say instead of guys being still lined up for there sign in / scrutineering and missing there first round of qualifing. because they deceided to start earlier.
For crying out loud they dont need to charge spectators $45 it's not a major event. It was bloody disgusting last year that they did and even had different class tickets for different areas of the grand stands.
They more than likely lost spectators at that price and for the amount they did have every one could have fitted in the prime spots any way.
We couldnt even get into the other stand with our arm bands on before security told us to piss off and there was'nt even anyone in the seats.
As for the burn out by brett in his car f*** that shit we were there for bike action ,who give a shit about that.
They should have just let some of the bikes loose if anyone wanted to.
That bloody stuntshow was so messed up with all the waiting and the couple of goes that they had at trying to get it happening just wasted more time that racers could have used.
Then the running of the event was all over the place , there was no reason that they could'nt have the bikes doing grudge
runs all day in between main races as guys could have got there moneys worth.
Lets face it if it's going to be the best all bike meet lets make it about the bikes and let the guys rip.
Any way just venting but if your talking to WSID maybe you might want to bring up some issues .
I hope to make it down again this year.

Guys this will be a top event.
If we put in a little effort and a little work (minimal) we can make it an earner too.
We can set up a stall and sell Hayabusa merchandise, as well as all pit together, it will attract lots of interest as we will have a huge pit area, and we can stick up a counter to sell stickers, shirts, patches, parts, etc.
We could have a whole row of Hayabusa's pitted together next to each other, and make our own street in the pits. (remember each entrant gets 2 pit alocations).
DJ you got extra merchandise to offload??
Kawa?? FF1?? Jamie?? MPE?? The rest??
If we can organise ourselves, together! before the event so we have a whole row of BUSA it would be the best.
The only way we can do this is by working with each other, and the track and the organisers.
As much as I hate to do this!!!
I will put my hand up to set out a pit row for all of us, I will try my best to get us all together, if you want to set up a stall LET ME KNOW NOW!!!.
As we will be wanting to pit together, we may have to sacrifice, location, but if someone walks into BUSA ALLEY they will know this is where the shit is, and they will tell everyone else (hopefully).
If we are going to do this I need to have a rough idea of how many entrants, and espiecialy merchants, SOON.
This will be a top meet, and it will be only better if we are all together, so lets make it a big one.

Dave C, can I run my Land Speed bike if I put a number plate on the back???

Gazza you better start the paperwork for an ANDRA licence,
10.5 isn't that hard even for a first time out when your lowered.heard about a 10.3 from a first time r1 on the weekend
Gazza, The number plate doesn't matter, its the tech inspection and as Grieg stated Andra lic that matter. With those two the strip is all yours.
