I can vouch for MrCycles too. I bought a Fender Eliminator from him a while back and the service was great.
I did a big search for the OEM U.S. stuff that he stocks and MrCycles was the only one willing to ship to Australia.

Your right, it is a load of crap. Especially in the global market we have.
The fender eliminator did get held up by Australian Customs, for what reason I have no idea but Steve at MrCycles wasted no time in
contacting them, sorting it out and making sure I got my part.

Possibly could be a supplier restriction.... There is this problem with astronomy telescopes & things..
1 of the major telescope manufacturers will not allow retailers outside of Australia to retail into Australia. Any external retailer risks losing their brand status if they sell into Australia. This protects the 1 single distributor in Australa.
Unfortunately this distributor takes advantage & jams the prices right up. Then all the Australian retailers that they supply, put their % on as well & we end up paying HEAPS.
1 particular telescope I could buy retail in the US + pay shipping, import duty & GST and it would be delivered to me for about AU$9k
The exact same telescope, retail in Australia is curently AU$25k
Total and absolute bullshit.
a way to get around the shipping problem is to get a USA address,I have used Bongo international before and shipping was cheaper. The usa companies ship to their address and Bongo forwards it on to you.
