$780 for CTP renewal... I will be there.
Just a reminder the CTP Protest Rally is August 31st at noon outside
Parliament House.
Great to ride around the block.
If riding in is impossible for you, try to come and attend on foot.
Carry your helmet. If you have bike-branded T-shirt or something you can
wear which identifies you as a motorcycle rider, try to wear that. Wear
your gloves.
In fact, even if you cannot be in or near Parliament House, and even if
you have to dress a particular way for work, try to carry a helmet and
maybe you could wear the T-shirt or jacket on the train or bus or
whatever on the way to work. Or put it on the back of your chair at
work, put the helmet on the filing cabinet or counter or dashboard. Be
seen.
People will see it and when they see the rally on the evening news and
in the papers, they will remember there was "one of them" on the train
or "out our way" or "in our office" and it will help reinforce the idea
that motorcyclists are everywhere, and there are thousands of them.
If you ARE riding and plan to circulate, try to get a look at the loop
before the day. Macquarie St into Hospital Road, back around to
Macquarie Street.
Solidarity!
